Small Weddings & Elopements

For people who'd rather spend it on a really good day.

Intimate weddings, registry offices, garden parties, elopements for two. If you'd rather have a proper meal and the people you love than a ten-piece band and a guest list you can't name, we'll get on well.

I document the day as it happens, relaxed and honest, and hand you back the story of it, not an album so heavy you never open it.

Still planning? My guide to planning a small wedding in Surrey covers register offices, venues, timings and how much photography you need.

Good to know

Questions couples ask.

A few things worth knowing before your day.

How much of the day do you cover?

As much or as little as you like. An elopement is often just a few hours, ceremony and portraits and away. The intimate day runs from the getting-ready to the first dance, and the full small-wedding day stretches to around ten hours. We map the timeline together beforehand so the parts that matter to you are covered, and nothing feels rushed.

What if our venue is dark, or the ceremony's indoors?

That's no trouble. Register offices and candlelit rooms are where I spend a lot of my time, and I shoot in a way that keeps the mood of the room rather than blasting it with flash. You'll get photos that feel like the day felt, not washed out and clinical.

Ours is a really small wedding. Is a photographer still worth it?

More than ever, I'd say. Some of the most moving days I've photographed had ten people in the room. Fewer guests means more real moments and more time to catch them properly. The size of the guest list has nothing to do with how much the day is worth remembering.

Kind words

What couples say afterwards.

Two of the messages that mean the most to me.

Elena took photographs of our wedding. We are very happy with the results and all the effort she put in to make sure we were satisfied with them. Thank you, Elena for capturing our special day so wonderfully!
