I photograph families, couples, business owners and people getting married with a small group of their favourite humans.
The job is to create an environment where you feel comfortable enough to forget I'm there. Then document what happens before you remember.
I'm not a "chin up, shoulders back, smile a bit more naturally" photographer. I give loose direction when it helps and step back when it doesn't.
Most people who book me are into the so-called "documentary" vibe. What I'm watching for is the look you didn't plan, the moment you thought was nothing. That's the one that ends up on the wall.
I also love photographing lifestyle and editorial for models, influencers and people who love being in the public's eye. This usually means a lot of posing and a lot of fun together. My background is in HR, which sounds like an odd qualification for a photographer until you think about it. Years of reading situations, working out what people need before they've said it and making uncomfortable rooms feel less so.
I can tell within a few minutes whether you need a bit of coaxing or just some space. Either way, we'll get there.
I live in Surrey with my husband and my son (eight, very opinionated, currently refuses to discuss anything that isn't Pokémon).
Based in Caterham, I work across Surrey and South London, including Reigate, Redhill, Croydon, Purley, Oxted and further when the brief calls for it.
