How booking works: nothing to pay to enquire. We start with a quick chat, I send you the terms with your details already filled in, and once you're happy the deposit secures your date. See the steps.
These sessions are built for real life: muddy knees, toddler meltdowns, the dog photobombing every other shot. We find a location that works for your family, and I always build in proper time: these sessions are never rushed. Everyone gets a chance to settle in, relax and forget the camera's even there. That's when the good stuff happens.
How it works
First, we have a quick planning call. We talk through where we might go, who's coming along, anything you're hoping for and any ideas either of us is sitting on. Maybe you've got a spot in mind. Maybe you want me to bring a few gentle prompts for the little ones, or you'd rather we just see what happens. We sort all of it before the day, so when it comes round you can turn up and be present, and leave the rest to me.

The stuff worth knowing before you book.
The Story gives you 30–40 photos, colour-corrected and finished in my style: the whole story of the afternoon. The Whole Day gives you 60–80, start to finish.
For Brand & Content and Events, you get the whole collection: every shot worth keeping from our time together, all colour-corrected and finished in my style. Finished in my style means the light and colour are balanced and the look is mine; it is not retouching, so faces and bodies stay exactly as they are. If you'd like a few shots properly retouched, that can be requested and priced separately, from £15 a photo. I'm not there to hit a number, and I won't cherry-pick a handful and hold the rest back.
There's nothing to pay to enquire, and no payment links on this page. It runs in four steps.
1. We chat. Book an intro chat or send me a message, and we talk through what you're after, with no commitment.
2. You get the terms. Your date, price and what we're photographing, written down in plain English. You can read an example of those terms before you commit to anything.
3. Your session is getting underway. A 50% deposit holds your date, the balance is due five days before, and we have a planning call.
4. You get your photos. A sneak peek within 48 hours and the full gallery within 7 days.
More than 14 days before, you get everything back including the deposit. Between 5 and 14 days before, I refund half. Inside 5 days there's no refund, because at that point the date realistically cannot be filled.
You also have 14 days from signing to change your mind for any reason at all, and I refund everything. If you're unwell or something serious happens, talk to me. I would far rather move your session than keep your money.
Cloud and light rain are usually fine, and often better than glaring sun. If it's genuinely unsuitable, heavy rain or high wind or anything unsafe, I make that call on the day and we move the session at no extra charge. If you'd rather go ahead anyway that's your choice, though I can't be responsible for what the weather does to the photos.
Your gallery stays live for 3 months, so download everything before it closes. I keep a backup for a year from your session date.
I don't supply RAW or unedited files: everything comes to you finished, in the style you booked. You get a permanent personal licence covering every photo, so print them, frame them and share them for as long as you like.
Sooner is better, especially for weekends and the warmer months from May to September, which fill up fast. A few weeks' notice is usually plenty for a weekday session. If you've got a date in mind, message me anyway. I sometimes have a last-minute slot, and I'd rather you asked than assumed it was gone.
I'm based in Surrey and work regularly across Caterham, Reigate, Redhill, Oxted, Purley, Croydon and South London. Travel within 30 miles is included in all session prices. Beyond that, we agree a travel supplement in advance, and it's never a nasty surprise.
No payment to enquire, and no checkout to rush through. We sort it together, in four steps. I carry £2 million public and professional liability insurance, with ten years of shooting behind me.
